Lionesses knocked the stuffin out of Astley bridge puffins- wow what a performance from every girl today, positioning, passing, pressing and a goal fest to boot, I could go on and on about how great every girl was today as they completely wiped the floor with the opponent today. Myself and coach marmite couldn't have asked for any better ?
Ppotm- Aria Hodson
Cpotm- Isla Mcgarrie
Kiira- had very little to do today but still stayed focused and pulled off a great save when we needed her to keep her clean sheet, her passing out now is getting really good.
Lippy- absolutely amazing in defence today really timed her tackles to perfection and has really improved on her passing out from the back basically setting up nearly every attack.
Aleyah- brilliant today really helped to keep our defence solid and played some amazing passes too, played well in left wing upon her request to and got a great assist, she's a real team player.
Izzy- absolutely brilliant today putting a lot of work in to help both the attack and defence, excellent passing, dribbling and unlucky really to only score one goal.
Belle- our battle belle really put a shift in for the team today tracking back helping out lippy and muscling the other team off the ball and really breaking up lots of their attacks, a well deserved goal for all her hardwork.
Darci- fantastic today, can tell she's been playing with the boys with some brilliant passes in building up play getting a few assists along the way. Unlucky not to score today as she certainly deserved too.
Mcgazza- completely different player this week, she held her position and was a real threat down the right wing creating so many chances for the team getting some assists and a great goal.
Aria- smiles all around and is unstoppable when she's happy with some great finishes getting 5 goals, great passes getting 2 assists and effortlessly cutting through other team I couldn't be any more proud of her.
Fieldsy- certainly finished more this week knocking in 5 goals and really suited the strikers role in the second half holding our line and making some great runs into the box really troubling the defence.
Truly great to see them play today they really are playing at such a high level for their age, let's hope this continues and they keep getting better each week.
