The Eastleigh Tigerlillies had a week off from league action so we entered into a round robin with our noisy neighbours the Eastleigh Lionesses and AFC Bolton.

Our first game against AFC Bolton was a close and tight affair between two evenly matched team who I think will be in our group when the league splits.

Our second game against our nearest and dearest lionesses was a lesson in pressing the ball down well but one thing i wanted to mention was that the Tigerlillies never let their heads go down and played to the final whistle and left it on the pitch.

Just a few words from the coaches on the players today

GM- superb between the sticks again and was pleased with her passing from the goal kicks down the wings.

AH- another steady performance from you today in defence and attack with some great tackling and passing

AG- great performance on both wings today and showed some good dribbling.

DP- took her goal really well and could have been more was it not for hitting the post 3 times.

PV- was so unlucky not to get on the scoresheet against Bolton after a great run thru middle. Keep it up and it will come

EL- her performance in defence against the lionesses was good. Made some good interceptions when needed.

EB- she was on fire in the Bolton game and took her goals really well. At one point thought the ball was stuck to her foot

WWW- showed some great touches and passing was good as well.

AC- battled great with the lionesses and pressed the defence when moved onto a more forward position.

MU- Did really well on her debut with a goal against Bolton. Had a few touches on the forward line and will settle in well here.

Once final thing that was commented on by both set of coaches from the lionesses and Bolton was that we never gave up and played right to the end.

This is a great trait in our team and keep up the good work Tigerlillies and we move onto our next game
