The Marvels got back into pre-season action on Thursday 31st August with a difficult test up at Atherton Town. With a few new faces in action and a bit of an experimental formation the lads gave a good account of themselves in an even contest. The game ebbed to and fro and was locked at 2-2 after 45 minutes with goals from Alex and Ethan (after a fine weighted pass from Jack). Unfortunately, with a few tired legs we conceded a few late goals to suffer an unfortunate loss.

Yesterday 2nd September the Marvels took part in a round robin with our friends at Galaxy, Devils and Storm. The lads acquitted themselves superbly this time and played much more like the back end of last season with our existing set up for games.

Game one against Galaxy we conceded midway through the game via an excellent counter attack but shortly after we scored in almost identical fashion through a pacey attack from Ethan finishing through the goalkeepers legs.

Game two against Devils the lads stepped up and started to play some nice football with each player looking a lot more comfortable on the ball. Goals from Alex and Connor in this round after some enterprising play.

The final game against Storm was almost a carbon copy with the lads starting to find their feet again. Jack finally found the goal he craved after a few sighters in the previous two matches following up on his own rebounded shot to poke home.

All three games were evenly matched wit h some great effort and play demonstrated throughout. Good luck to all our Eastleigh teams this upcoming season.
